Greek Amphitheatre

Todays lesson we started learning about ancient greek theatres. We learnt a great deal about it such as its first appearance which was in 550 and 220 bc. we also learnt that it became very popular in Athens and even became part of a special greek festival called 'dionsya'. They were first shown in special stages called amphitheatres. this special stage housed 14'000 people and up to 50 actors. It was shaped in such a way so that
the actors could be heard by everyone. as the years went on it developed further to adding things like backdrops and scenery, this was first started in 465bc. this special stage has somewhat become the making of movie theatres as we know it today.
